Who We Are – Real Tests by a Digital Nomad
Nomad Living Lab is run by a full-time digital nomad since 2020. I've lived and worked in over 15 countries—Bali, Thailand, Portugal, vanlife across Europe—testing tech gear in real-world conditions for remote work and travel.
After years of buying tech gear based on Amazon reviews written by people who clearly never tried to run a video call from a café in Bali or worked from a campervan in the Portuguese countryside, I started testing and documenting what actually works.
The internet is flooded with AI-generated content and sponsored posts disguised as reviews. Finding genuinely useful information about tech gear has become nearly impossible. Nomad Living Lab exists to change that—providing honest, field-tested reviews from someone who depends on this equipment daily.
Our Mission
We provide independent reviews and buying guides for power banks, 5G mobile routers, portable power stations, travel monitors—only products we've actually tested, without sponsors paying for positive reviews. Our goal is simple: help remote workers make informed purchasing decisions based on real-world performance, not marketing claims.
How We Test
Every product is tested in real-world scenarios—not sterile lab conditions:
- Remote coworking spaces – Testing connectivity and portability in shared work environments
- Vanlife off-grid setups – Solar charging, battery capacity under real power constraints
- Hotels with poor WiFi – 5G router performance as primary internet backup
- Long-haul flights – Battery endurance, weight, airline compliance
We measure actual battery life, real 5G speeds across multiple locations, true weight and portability, and long-term reliability after weeks of daily use.
